Tea Garden, Sri Petaling

New branch opening at Sri Petaling since January. Its about tea ya'know. When I go in their website and read their about us, they introduce their tea- Hainanese Milk Tea. I didn't know until now lolol. Maybe they did not really like promote and they have too much choices of food and everything that cover the very main purpose of the shop. Get it? 它出名的是MilkTea但给人第一个印象就是食物.

Really feels like back to 80s 90s.

Cheese baked rice with grilled chicken RM13.80
Portion is satisfying.

You can choose 2 out of 5 side dishes, fried rice, salad, smash potato, corn, and fries.
Ma Lai Ko
 I like the taste. Yummy.

Riverboat, Taman Desa

When you don’t know what to take for dinner and go round and round at Taman Desa, and you’re lucky to find out a new lovely restaurant.
Here we go, Riverboat at Taman Desa. Was supposed to visit the next door Thai’s food but a glance at this restaurant makes me want to have a try at this quite new restaurant.

Boat Noodles RM2
Interesting boat noodles, quite big portion worth RM2. I like the noodles so much, the soup taste good too.
Served with either soup braised meat or seasoned sliced meat cost same price (RM2)

Tub Tim Grob RM4.90
Mock Pomegranate Seeds with Coconut and Jackfruit which named as Tub Tim Grob in Thai. Comes with quite small portion but all taste are in, coconut, jackfruit, pomegranate seed in one mouth and you will love it.

Mango Sticky Rice RM12.90
Here we go must-have-dessert in all Thai restaurants. BUT you must be pray a lot and get lots of luck before you went to Riverboat BECAUSE 1. this Mango Sticky Rice is not on the Menu and 2. for the sake of satisfying every customers 3. they only have it when they manage to buy SWEET mangoes. Yes, the mango is SWEET and served with big portion compare to others so this is worth it.

Green Papaya Salad RM9.90

Green Papaya Salad with Pickled Fish RM10.90
Green Papaya Salad as Som Tum Thai. Sour, sweet, spicy 3-in-1. Nice, tasty. You can upgrade it by adding pickled fish, Green Papaya Salad with Pickled Fish as Som Tum Pala. We asked the boss, he said, no pickled fish but just the taste. Like kind of sauce.

Tom Yum Goong Nam Sai Mix Seafood and Meat RM24.90/RM39.90
You can choose between Red Tom Yum or Clear Tom Yum, Mix Seafood and Meat, Pork and Chicken or Seafood. Served with small or big and price range around RM18.90-RM39.90
I had a Clear Tom Yum Mix Seafood and Meat. Taste really spicy like ‘if its not why are you here for Thai food’ Just a few spoon and I’m start burning. Maybe I can’t stand too spicy so for me its hot.

Green Curry Chicken/Pork RM12.90/RM13.90
What else we need other than Tom Yum? Nah, Green Curry in Thai named it as Gaeng Kiew Wan Kai/Moo, chicken or pork. When you first spoon into your mouth you can definitely taste the coconut and the thickness of the green curry.

BBQ Talapia Fish with Salt served with Vegetables, Vermicelli and Sauce RM38
This is why I’m here in this restaurant. The attractive BBQ talapia fish, its not BBQ taste is because they BBQ it out there, I mean the boss. It takes 20 minutes to ‘roast’ this fish, which covered with salt. As mentioned above, was supposed to take my dinner beside this restaurant, and a glanced I saw this weird but cool fish under roasting and make you gotta try it.
The fish is so soft and juicy that make the whole fish tasty and make me fall in love with fish. This is the best fish I have ever tried I guess, I really love it without eating with something else like rice, you can just simply eat that way.
They served with vegetables, vermicelli, and sauces. First grab a vege, put some fish on the vege, add vermicelli and each sauces on it, wrap everything up and eat. BUT before that my advice to you, TASTE the fish before you wrap everything. So that you can really taste the awesomeness of the fish.

Riverboat’s Clams in Thai Sauce RM13.90
Riverboat’s Clams in Thai Sauce. Fresh, fresh, fresh and fresh. They used fresh live clams. The sauce is nice but a little bit oily. And same as mango sticky rice, you gotta pray for it.

BBQ Pork Neck RM14.90
BBQ Pork Neck, taste like ‘Bak Kua’ (Sliced Pork Meat) This is one of my favorite dishes. They BBQ it. So good, so soft, so nice.

*This is not in the menu

*Note: Before you go to Riverboat, pray. Pray for Mango sticky rice, pray for live clams. Im serious. Mango and fresh live clams doesn't have everyday. They’re friendly actually. Only 6% Service charge, no extra tax.

Riverboat is on Offpeak app too. Get up to 20% discount everyday except Wednesday and excluding Public Holidays.

Food Street, Jalan Sayur Pudu

If you have no idea where to eat for supper, get along to Jalan Sayur, Pudu - one of the famous food street for the locals. The street food stalls start opening at around 4pm. Most of the food stalls here are owned and operated by the senior citizens for years.

One of the famous stalls, Taufu bakar and grilled sotong. I love the taufu bakar a lot I almost come everyday just for the taufu bakar, the taufu is crispy, then the sliced cucumber and jicama(saa gok) so juicy with the rojak sauce, in one bite you taste everything, really nice!

Tong Sui, I ordered a bowl of barley bean curd for something lighter. The mild barley with bean curd skin.

Chicken butt, this is always awesome. Have you ever try eating chicken butt? If you haven't try any yet, you should! 3 pieces for RM1. Oldies said, chicken butt is good to our skin, I don't know how through is it but you must have a try!

ABC on a hot day is a need! So why not?

Jalan Sayur is located within 200m from the Pudu LRT station.

Sanuki Udon, Taman Desa

People are queuing for this and I dont know why.
Obviously not in this image, but whenever I went to this row for food, passing by and I'll definitely seeing people queuing for this. Why? I guess because its cheap and nice?

Kitsune Udon (Cold) RM6
So I ordered cold Kitsune Udon which cost for RM6. What I did not expect was, when it served, I was so shocked that theres only a piece of Kitsune and a lot of veges. I dont know what did I ordered. Did I ordered Vege Udon or Kitsune Udon? At least served lah two pieces. People be like, "What do you expect, RM6 what" Nah, you can sell it at RM7-10 for 2 pieces, its still cheap. And the udon just a little. I seriously felt disappointed. I wouldn't recommended people to go this shop lolol.
